Well, well, well, ladies and gentlemen, strap yourselves in because we’re about to take a wild ride through the rollercoaster of Indian politics. And let me tell you, it’s a journey filled with more twists and turns than a Bollywood plotline on steroids. So, let’s grab our chai and dive headfirst into the chaotic spectacle that is the BJP’s supposed crusade against corruption. Or is it?
\nOn one hand we have the BJP loyalists who will champion these events as another milestone in the parties journey to disentangle all that is hampering this great nations potential, and they have a point. Weeding out corruption at unprecedented levels which has so far resulted in two sitting chief ministers in jail!<\/p>\n
However, their detractors will point out that this is just another step in the PM\u2019s steady descent into dictatorship, which along with Modi\u2019s cult of personality drives our nation deeper into right wing fascism. This also sets a precedent for any governing party in the future to resort to locking up any political rivals under the facade of clearing out corruption, which could lead to a Bollywood remake of the 1950s red scare in America!<\/p>\n
An unintended side effect might be that it puts the fear of god into the mind of an average citizen! Seeing that powerful politicians are impotent in this situation despite all their influence might just be a benefit that would atleast temporarily spearhead a fall in corruption in all domains of Indian society.<\/p>\n
At the end of the day despite however the latest chapter of only in India turns out, this sadly still remains purely speculative and without more information I can just add one thing that\u2019s for sure: the political landscape is a minefield of contradictions and absurdities, where even the most well-intentioned gestures are ripe for interpretation. After all, in the grand spectacle of Indian politics, anything can happen, and usually does. <\/p>\n
