It has not been corruption, it\u2019s not been poverty, it\u2019s not been population. It\u2019s been apathy.<\/p>\n<p>This was before we got into the social media world. The apathy has now been further aggravated by 24\/7 electioneering. A world where everyone has a political affiliation and a narrative built around it. <\/p>\n<p>3 students die in a basement flooding and all we can do is to blame Delhi AAP, Haryana BJP or the center. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a political circus around us all the time. Everyone is trying to figure out how to not occur a loss because of this loss or worse, how to make profit out of this loss.<\/p>\n<p>Remember when you see something on social media, you see it only because the system knows your beliefs, your affiliations and which content you will engage with. You are the product. You are the motivation for every one of these politicians to act the way they do. The apathy and worse are because of you.<\/p>\n<p>Really, you are to be blamed for this mess. It\u2019s not the Gandhis, the Kejris, the Modis or the Pawars or the Banerjees, it\u2019s YOU. <\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t offer you a solution but I can certainly say the politics in our country is unsustainable. I am not smart enough to predict whether this leads to anarchy or dictatorship or something else causing more of the same pain, but something\u2019s gotta give. I am starting to think it\u2019s time for us to help define what it will be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have always maintained that the problem in our country has been apathy.
