The <strong>only<\/strong> institution people still trust.  Turns out, maybe we shouldn\u2019t. Because guess what? <strong>Judges, too, have price tags.<\/strong> And sometimes, those tags come in neatly stacked <strong>crore-rupee bundles<\/strong> hidden inside their own homes. <\/p>\n<h3><strong>When Justice Smells Like Burnt Cash <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Picture this: A fire breaks out at <strong>Delhi High Court Judge Yashwant Varma\u2019s<\/strong> house.  Firefighters rush in.  But instead of charred furniture, they find <strong>piles of half-burnt cash<\/strong>.  <strong>Crores.<\/strong> Just sitting there. Waiting to be counted. <\/p>\n<p>Now, any logical system would <strong>investigate, suspend, prosecute<\/strong>\u2014you know, normal stuff when a judge is caught with what looks like a side hustle.  But <strong>nope<\/strong>, our brilliant system decides to <strong>transfer<\/strong> him. That\u2019s right. <strong>TRANSFER.<\/strong> \u2708\ufe0f Because what better way to handle corruption than <strong>relocating it<\/strong>? \u200d\u2642\ufe0f Welcome back to <strong>Allahabad High Court, sir.<\/strong> Hope the cash survived the flames. <\/p>\n<h3><strong>Collegium: The Family Business Model <\/strong><strong><\/strong><strong>\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This is where things get <strong>really juicy<\/strong>.  Ever wondered <strong>who hires these judges<\/strong>? The <strong>Collegium system<\/strong>\u2014a lovely little old-boys\u2019 club where judges <strong>handpick their own<\/strong>. \u200d\u2696\ufe0f No public oversight. No accountability. Just a <strong>closed-door family business<\/strong> where merit takes a backseat and <strong>&#8220;connections&#8221;<\/strong> get the front-row seat. \ufe0f<\/p>\n<p>The result? <strong>Zero checks. Zero balances. Maximum loot.<\/strong> A judge caught with crores? Just <strong>pass the baton<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<h3><strong>The #MeToo of the Judiciary <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Here\u2019s the real problem\u2014<strong>nobody wants to talk.<\/strong>  Because they all have <strong>skeletons in their own closets<\/strong>.  Much like the #MeToo movement, where nobody dared to call out powerful predators, here too, judges won\u2019t raise a finger against their <strong>brothers in black robes<\/strong>. \u2696\ufe0f Why? Because if one falls, <strong>the whole house collapses<\/strong>. \ufe0f<\/p>\n<p>And let\u2019s be clear\u2014judicial corruption is <strong>not just another scam<\/strong>. It\u2019s <strong>worse<\/strong> than politicians, police, or bureaucrats.  Why? Because these guys are supposed to be the <strong>last line of defense<\/strong>. When the <strong>judge himself is for sale<\/strong>, who do you go to for justice? <strong>The highest bidder wins.<\/strong> \ufe0f<\/p>\n<h3><strong>FAIJS: The Solution They Don\u2019t Want <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This is <strong>why<\/strong> we pushed for <strong>FAIJS (Forum for All India Judicial Services)<\/strong>. A system where judges are <strong>recruited through a transparent, merit-based process<\/strong>. \u2705 A system that ends <strong>nepotism<\/strong> and stops these <strong>family-run judicial cartels<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>I was a <strong>digital marketing partner<\/strong> for FAIJS. We fought for <strong>fair appointments.<\/strong> For accountability. For a system where a judge\u2019s worth is <strong>his ethics, not his connections.<\/strong>  And guess what? <strong>Nobody in power wants this.<\/strong> Because a clean system means <strong>no hidden cash piles.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<h3><strong>So, What Now? <\/strong><strong><\/strong><strong>\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>If we let this slide, we\u2019re screwed.<\/strong>  Period. If <strong>judges can be bought<\/strong>, justice is just another <strong>commodity<\/strong>.  We need <strong>transparency. Independent oversight. Hard punishments.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>Oh, but wait\u2014who will punish them? <strong>Other judges?<\/strong>  That\u2019s like asking <strong>thieves to conduct their own investigation.<\/strong> \u200d\u2620\ufe0f A joke.<\/p>\n<p>This <strong>cancer<\/strong> is eating the judiciary from within.
