I have been pondering about this for a while. Considering India is an electoral democracy with a judiciary branch independent of executive and polity, considering that India is not a majority referendum based system, considering everything is governed by this book called the Constitution of India which provides and guarantees equality for all, isn’t the concept of civic protests illegal or against the basic nature of constitution??
Isn’t the right answer for any law related disagreement to approach judiciary? Are we letting things go awry by the freedom to protest that is provided spec... Read More
These are the moments that changed us as a company. These are what define us and our culture. These are what we will never forget.
Our belief in us – 1st October 2009: When we thought that the entire team will leave for the fears of job security. The old founding team was leaving the company and we had 2 Lacs revenue with 5 Lacs expenditure. No one and I mean no one left. Everyone did whatever they can as if they had a point to prove. As if they were all taken over by this ambition to show we can. That spirit has since become part of our inseparable culture.Cash flow positive – 1st Jan... Read More
If you are here, we are sure you know that OMLogic is a pretty unique setup. We do things zaraa hatke. Some of these lead to the culture and happiness that largely defines us all in the company. Here are some examples of things you may not get to see elsewhere.
Let’s start with a controversial one: Ladke taadna in meetings and interviews. Yes, we have our own version of gender bias and objectification. Like everything else, it’s the reverse of what you usually see. Girls recommend to HR or BD to take onboard a specific lead based on how the boys there look. We have had girls come out o... Read More
It’s confession time! While we are proud of most of the things we have accomplished and the successes we have achieved, some of these faux pas make us prouder. They are the ones that keep us grounded. They are the ones that we laugh about at every party. We tried to ensure this blog is not about places we lost money in bad debts (trust that are too many of those). If you are one of those who didn’t pay, relax. We won’t embarrass you socially…for now!
Yeh ek pixel se off hai: The year was 2012, we were working with a US agency for an ethnic marketing campaign targeting Indians in th... Read More
While we have done some tremendous work over the years, we thought of sharing the 10 wow campaigns that truly stand out! These campaigns have been selected based on the innovation in the idea, the impact they caused and the fun we had while doing them. Please note, we are not supposed to talk about some of these campaigns (sh…..) but we are overjoyed with our 10-year celebration and if anyone asks, say that the writer was doped while writing it along with the person who posted it.
Nirbhaya (Delhi for Women Safety): We started this campaign day after the famous Delhi gang-rape case. It w... Read More
We all have been there, Monday morning blues and any night hangovers are the worst enemies of a company’s HR. Usually, people work through it but sometimes you find these ‘people’ who love to make epic excuses to get out of coming to work. Interestingly, for some of the low-lives at OMLogic, we like coming to office when we are sick since this is the only place we get to relax!
1. Pet me dard hai (I have a stomach ache) Favourite Monday morning excuse, for all the weekend party ravers.
2. Ghar me koi beemar hai (Someone fell ill at home) The one excuse you can never say ... Read More
Hard to imagine it’s been 10 years. 10 years when
some of us against all the odds took on a setup with Rs 2 lacs of revenue, Rs 5
lacs of expenditure and an outgoing set of people doing frauds and everything
else to bring us down.
While some will look at us as a modest setup, what we have achieved during these 10 years is miraculous considering where it all started and what all we refused to do. This is the first of a series of wow-logs we will write over the next few days in the run-up to our 10 years.
We take pride as one of the most ethically
driven, trustworthy company, which alw... Read More
