Isn’t it an irony! We spend our lifetime trying to improve our life. But none of us have any means of defining what is an improved life.
Really think of it!! We like to think of an improved life as the presence of this or the absence of that. We look at an improved life as a destination we want to get to.
What if an improved life is simply a journey we go through. Nothing to achieve, nothing to lose, nothing that leads to anywhere.
What if we were just part of a big puzzle, a puzzle that’s supposed to not fit or be solved.
What if an improved life is simply our ability to pla... Read More
It is our 70th independence day. I can’t even imagine what the life or world was 70 years back. Of course, I wasn’t there. I can’t imagine what emergency was like, of course I wasn’t there. But I can’t even imagine what life was 20 years back though I was there. It was a different world, I was a different age, everything had a different meaning.
What is independence? The more I keep thinking about it, the more it hits me. Is independence necessarily a great thing? Are we as humans born to be independent with no boundaries and nothing governing us? What does independence mean and w... Read More
We, as humans, are currently standing at a very important juncture. A juncture that could even change the course of if we as humans are. I am sure generations before would have gone through some important decisions in their lifespan, some of them would have turned right and some of them wrong. But none appear as important or as game-changing as this one.
Present course and speed, we are years, maybe few decades (if we are lucky), from total doom. And we need to change that. We need to change our world, our future.
Before we think about changing the world, we need to change our past. We n... Read More
What is this fascination people have with living longer? For themselves and for others!
Being alive and enjoying every moment of it, Yes, I am all for it. That's what I try to do always. But why longer?
The entire debate around capital punishment got me thinking. Let me make it very clear for everyone that knows me. If I ever do something for which I should be punished and the choice is between death sentence and life, I will take death sentence anyday.
If I ever get sick or something is to happen and I am vegitating with no chance of getting better, please pull the plug. If the chances ... Read More
Reservations were necessary (absolutely necessary) for providing equitable treatment to people across the country. But they should have been removed (atleast refined) years back. Reservations are needed, anyday, to provide equal opportunity but they can't really assure equal treatment by mere implication.
Before we gauge further, let me tell you this blog is NOT about reservations. It is about women empowerment but the quandary remains the same. Last couple of years have been majorly about women empowerment and all the conversations about it.
And I BEG TO DISAGREE!
All we... Read More
Launch an online game for people to come and bet on their favourite teams.
And we bring to you UNFIX. The currency in this game is FIXINGS, and you do it all to reduce match fixings. J (Did not someone say, life is full of ironies?)
From Draupadi to Raj Kundra; Betting, both legal and illegal, both what’s yours and what’s not, both making rich and making poor, has always had a special place in the Indian culture. When the scandal around #MatchFixing, #SpotFixing, Raj Kundra, Sreesanth, Vindoo, etc broke, we at OMLogic were heartbroken.
It hit two things that we loved the most; Cri... Read More
I just want to receive wishes. Gifts wouldn’t hurt.
I want an International Men’s Day. There, I said it.
I am just envious of the attention that women seem to enjoy at virtual all these “days”. There’s Raksha Bandhan, Bhaiya Dooj, Mother’s Day and Women’s Day. Father’s Day, you said?
It is me, the Man who is NOT in a power of position in this day and age.
I once had a chance to be a part of a “multi-cultural” seminar in USA. The purpose of the seminar was to bring together people from various cultures. Attending the event were Asians, Indians, African-Americans,... Read More
