Truth Shots: The Tweet Debacle
My take on the farmers protests and the tweet debacle!
Let me take you through the three aspects of what this protest has become in the past month.
First: The amazing resilience shown by the farmers & protesters, and for the most part remaining non-political in nature. (Not true anymore, by the way)
Second: The violence & destruction on 26th January
Third: Tweets from international figures on the ‘Indian’ issue of Framer’s protest.
Here’s what I have to say:
The violence, the destruction of property and Indian heritage must not be the acts of protests. But it happened.
The protest has been going on for the last two-and-a-half months. Despite that, there is no solution.
As a citizen of India, residing in Delhi specifically, this whole fiasco is an inconvenience.
We must not forget the ongoing parade of tweets from everyone around the globe.
Rihanna tweeting about farmer’s protest… Does she even know the size of her as* or the ongoing protest?
Greta commenting on the issue of farmer’s protest in India… is she going to be the poster child for our farmers next?
Do they even know about farmers, farm bills and the protests? Aren’t they adding fuel to fire?
And that comment by Lily Singh…
Know how it gets heated up with a dose of Truth Shots!
