Don’t Let a Terrorist’s Religion Define Our Response

— A Follow-up to “Pahalgam: When Tourism Turned to Terror”
By Kapil Gupta

Let’s not sugarcoat it.
The Pahalgam attack was 100% Hindu-Muslim.
Not because I said it. Not because Twitter said it.
Because the terrorists made it that way.
They checked for religion before pulling the trigger.
ID dekha, naam padha, goli maari.
That’s not just a terror strike — that’s ideological cleansing with a gun. ️

Now let’s talk about our response.
Because that’s where we decide whether we’re a nation…
Or just a crowd looking to settle scores.

Operation Sindoor: Precision with Purpose

India didn’t just tweet its outrage.
It acted.
Operation Sindoor — a surgical strike targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
A message sent: We will not tolerate terror.
But here’s the kicker — it was measured, focused, and avoided civilian targets.
No carpet bombing. No blind rage. Just justice served with precision.

Pakistan, of course, cried foul.
Claimed civilian casualties, mosques hit, jets shot down.
The usual script.
But the world saw through it.
Because when you harbor snakes, don’t be surprised when someone brings a stick.

The Real Battle: Heart vs. Hate

Yes, the attack was communal.
But our response can’t be.
If we let this spiral into Hindu vs. Muslim, they’ve already won.
We become the chaos they thrive in.
Our strength? Unity.
Our weapon? Rationality.

Strategy Over Sentiment

Do we retaliate? Absolutely.
Do we lose our minds? Absolutely not.
This isn’t about revenge; it’s about resolution.
About sending a clear message: Terrorism has no place here.

Let’s learn from Israel.
When attacked, they rally global support.
Diplomatically. Politically. Strategically.
India should do the same.
Build alliances. Garner support. Isolate the problem, not a religion.

A Civilizational Test

This isn’t just a border skirmish.
It’s a test of our civilization.
Do we uphold our values or succumb to primal instincts?
The terrorists aimed to divide us.
Let’s not do their job for them.

We will respond. But on our terms. With our values. With our spine intact.
Not with pitchforks and prejudice.
India’s strength is in knowing who the enemy really is — and not becoming like them in rage.
